Today’s the day! Every year the major motion picture studios show up and give presentations for a film industry conference called CinemaCon. It’s designed for theater owners primarily to convince them to show their movies in theaters, but it also serves as a place to drop clips and trailers for some of their upcoming films. As much as we wish we could have attended in person, tickets are very expensive, so we weren’t able to. Nevertheless, we will do our best to keep y’all appraised of Z2 news as it arrives!
For starters, there were some animated posters for Zootopia 2 showing off Gary, who has been stealing the spotlight in all the marketing so far.
Then, after waiting for over an hour and a half, we finally got Zootopia 2!

Then we finally got some new footage! From what few screenshots we’ve seen, Nick and Judy are in police partner therapy (for some reason- apparently they’ve been having some issues working together full-time?) and we meet Dr. Fuzzby, a Quokka who works as the ZPD’s therapist.
Update: Via Screenrant, here’s the explanation of the footage:
It begins at the police station. Nick and Judy are with a police therapist who focuses on mis-matched partners. Nick and Judy are apparently struggling to work together. They have been official partners for one week – and Judy thinks that they are doing fine, but the therapist breaks down her response, saying that she answered first, quickly, and didn’t allow Nick to respond. The therapist says that Nick is emotionally shutdown. One of the other animals in the room start “talking” – Nick and Judy then look at each other and the clip ends.
Then via The Hollywood Reporter:
Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps participate in partnership counseling. It is hosted by a Doctor Fuzzbee, voiced by Quinta Brunson. An elephant and a mouse aren’t getting along because the elephant is scared. “We are not dysfunctional at all…And we did sort of save the city,” says Judy Hopps. The doctor offers observations. They practice “greeting their teammate,” which leads to a predator trying to eat prey.
That’s all we’ve gotten so far, but we’ll update this if any more comes up!
did you see the trailer? i know there was a short clip
