Well, how about that? Drummer here with a fresh new batch of updated fanfics, but I also want to share with you all our biggest news for today: “Safe Paws,” what is undoubtedly one of the most popular Zootopia stories to have graced the Internet in the past year, is completely finished. Boom. Finito. Done and done.
That’s right, midnightopheliac’s story of epic proportions, detailing Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps’ wild adventures together in the time between Bellwether’s arrest and Nick’s momentous graduation from the police academy, has come to a close. It’s sad to see it finally end, but holy cow, what a way to end it. It’s sweet, pure WildeHopps delight, and you should absolutely be prepared for the waterworks to burst.
I’m not joking either about its popularity. Although we unfortunately couldn’t feature the version from the AO3 website, it’s one of the select few Zootopia stories there to earn over 1,000 kudos. Freaking 1,000! That’s a buttload of praise, and you know what, it rightfully earns it all. If you haven’t read this tour de force yet, what in the heck are you waiting for?! You’ll honestly be doing yourself a favor. And be on the lookout too for the eventual sequel. The fun doesn’t end here; not by a long shot!
