Graphic Design: Creating Worlds For Zootopia With Brandon Franco

Hey all! I know we’re excited about all the Zootopia sequel news coming out of D23, and while we’ll be there to cover the Q&A with Jared Bush at 5:00 PM Pacific Time, we’re going to take a slight detour first and meet up with Brandon Franco, the senior designer for Zootopialand’s Shanghai Disneyland Resort Expansion. Brandon had his own slot at D23 to meet and talk with people about his work on designing Zootopialand and thanks to our mammal on the inside, kaijuking, we’ve got footage of the whole presentation.

On top of all the amazing shots of Zootopialand and the concept art Brandon had to show off (take a note all you peeps out there looking for new stuff to add to your Zootopia art collection), he also had a lot of insights into his work on the project, insight I imagine many of you are probably just dieing to hear about. And why wouldn’t you? The guy clearly has a passion for his work, he’d need to if he wants to do justice to a project like Zootopialand, and I just love hearing passionate people describe their work to me, especially when it comes to something as beloved as the world of Zootopia.

You can check out the whole talk in the link below or over on YouTube, so be sure to check it out for yourself if you’re looking for some brilliant new art and Zootopialand shots, or if you just want to hear from a guy who shares our passion for Zootopia. Anyway, that’s all for now, but we’ll be back soon enough once that Q&A with Jared kicks off, hope to see you all then!
