[Rating M16][Friendship][Hurt/Comfort]
Ah, the Days of our Youth series, the new kid on the fanfiction block, and with a spunky energy that has made it one of my personal favourites. Once again we return to Nick, Judy, Jack and Skye, pushing up into high school in the country and city, keeping close even as things get tough.
As boy, this fic does not let down on the series tradition of picking a character and hitting them with the angst hammer. And in this case, it might be the biggest, nastiest, most terrifying one yet. For all the fun and joy this series brings, this one brings a new, very real, dread to the prose.
The characters, as ever, shine out, but can they keep burning in the darkest of times?
A story well worth recommending.
