A year of fanfiction past, a new year beginning. And we’ve had lots of updates coming in, with not one but two fics closing out with 2023.
Of course, may of you may have spotted my own fic, Fantastic Foxes of Zootopia: Season 2, coming to a close. Two and one third years and over 500K worth of words, I got to where I wanted to get (with plenty of additional deviations and detours along the way) and rounded it out with a long planned and very satisfying ending, with one heck of a cliffhanger to round it off. It’s been nice having a rest over the Christmas period, but soon I’ll be starting out with the third and final part of the saga, something I can’t wait to share.
And of course, Giftheck pulled it in with the end to his Temporal Investigation Department fic too, closing off with plenty of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff. And while this fic won’t be getting a sequel (at least as far as I know), the author is already prepping some new projects that we here at ZNN can’t wait to see.
Plenty of other fics have had updates, all displayed here. Rounding off one year and opening up another. To fans of Zootopia, may the last works of the year past bring you joy despite the sadness, and may the new ones, both familiar and new, bring plenty more exciting things in the world of our fandom.
Should Old Author’s be Forgot,
and never thought upon?
The fluff and love extinguished,
and fully past and gone.
Is thy sweet Heart now Got You cold,
that loving Breast of thine.
That thou canst never once reflect,
On old long Syne.
