Hello again folks, and welcome to this week’s Art of the Day collection.

Our Featured Image for today is a kind of a rare one; a group portrait, featuring nearly the entire cast of Zootopia.  We used to see these a lot more of these pics in the first two years after the movie’s release; then they began to kind of taper off.   That’s hardly surprising, given the effort that goes into creating an artwork with so many different and unique characters.

In addition to being something of a rarity, this image is a also great piece of work. Not only did the artist manage to capture every member of the Zootopia gang perfectly, but their placement in the pic is also spot on…from the tiger-dancers as bookends at the top of the image, to Flash, holding up things at the bottom of the artwork.  (I rather like the placement of Fru-Fru, seen here hitching a ride on Koslov’s jacket.)  And, of course, Nick and Judy are standing just below the center of the pic, right where they belong.
