International travel may still be in a really weird place, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make plans for later. And if you’re not sure where you’d like to go, well, we got some news regarding Shanghai Disneyland that you might be pleased to hear. According to a post from Shanghai Disney’s Instagram featuring the queen of pop herself, Gazelle, the Zootopia Land section is going to be finished around Autumn of 2023!
That enough to make you consider booking a ticket? Well then be sure to keep an eye om Shanghai Disney’s Instagram, as they will surely be providing further updates as time goes on. For now, you can view their post and other photos they’ve provided at the link here.
My wife and I were already planning on visiting Shanghai Disney during a tour of Asia in 2024. I was HOPING this would be open in time, so if this timeline holds up, the two of us will be VERY happy during our visit!
Why did they put a theme park zone about animals and accepting differences in a Disney theme park in a country known for animal abuse, xenophobia, and brutal regimes etc. ?
The only animal positive thing that China is widely known for that I can think of off the top of my head is the high number of vegetarian and some vegan people, many of which were seemingly involuntary vegetarian and vegans , since poverty seemed to be the reason they were eating vegetarian and vegan diets.
Anyone seen a statement on why they chose China? If so please link it if you can or at least tell me what to search.
