Greeting once more, fellow fans of Zootopia, and welcome to our latest Art of the Day collection.
Our Featured Image for today is something really special, Nick and Judy as they might have been depicted by Beatrix Potter.
If there’s one thing I admire about Ms. Potter’s artwork, it’s the way she was able to draw animal-characters with non-anthro eyes…and still give them human expressions. In the Zootopia movie, of course, Nick and Judy did have human eyes–and so here the artist cleverly splits the difference. Our favorite fox and bunny have eyes that aren’t quite the same as they were in the film…but they’re not ‘pure Potter’ either. All in all, an exceptional piece of work.
