Named after the teasing phrase that arguably launched the good ship WildeHopps, You Know You Love Me picks up right where the movie left off, following Nick and Judy on their first day as partners. Judy and Nick’s banter is captured wonderfully throughout the fic – they trade playful jokes and jibes as they work, all as they dance around their own growing attraction to one another. If you want playful teasing and WildeHopps fluff, this story is for you!
But that’s not to say the fic is all fluff – there’re a few surprisingly poignant and intense moments, like a showdown between Nick and Bogo that Vulpes uses as a great way to explore the depths of those two characters. The author also sprinkles in a lot of fun side characters and world-building that adds some fantastic depth to the story, all without distracting from its focus.
You Know You Love Me is a fun, heartfelt, and adorable will-they-or-won’t-they story that’s sure to bring a smile to your face! ~Bummer
