Art of the Day # 216: ’70s Pop Culture

Fur Wars by Jessica-Rae-3

Going back further and deeper into time, we come to the ’70s.

This was the decade when we all danced “The Hustle,” when Disney’s Robin Hood hit theaters, providing the inspiration for kid named Byron Howard, who would one day go on to co-direct Zootopia. We experienced fear and tension from Jaws and Alien. The Godfather was released (later the template for Zootopia’s Mr. Big), Dirty Harry wanted to know if you felt lucky, and in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars became one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.

Enjoy, and don’t forget to share your appreciation to the artists by clicking on the source-links!

  1. #13: I’m guessing that mammals are more food than friend here (I hope not).
