Comic: Morning Coffee (by Ahappypichu & Mead)

You ever have those days where you just need a coffee to wake up? Or maybe you are one of those people who are dead until the first sip of coffee?
If so, then this comic will probably seem familiar. After all, the best way to wake zombies is a hot morning coffee.

This comic by Ahappypichu & Mead gives us a look into the morning routine of Jack and Skye. Though it seems this time, Skye is a little too sleepy.

Check out the comic over on Tumblr (with Full-Res version) or after the break!

  1. Aww, that's just mean, Jack! I think Skye's kind of adorable before she's fully awake though.

  2. After the coffee berries have been harvested, it needs to undergo a process where the flesh of the coffee berries is removed. The coffee berries are placed in special machines separating the flesh from the seed. Jill Scott

  3. A little hot there Skye?
I need to find a place to work a scene like this into a story or two…

  4. I don't think there's any malice on Jack's part – he's just trying to get Skye to acknowledge the coffee, but she's so sleepy, she doesn't realize it until it's right under her muzzle, and the scent just causes her to instinctively start lapping at it – which causes her to burn her tongue (instantly waking her, similar to what happens if you step on a Lego while trying to get to the bathroom and you're still half-asleep), with how hot the coffee is, and Jack can't help but chuckle at the situation.

Or, the alternate interpretation I've seen is that it's her instinctive lapping at the coffee that causes Skye to feel embarrassed, prompting Jack's laughter.

  5. Another study has shown that male coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of developing Parkinson's disease than their non-coffee-drinking counterparts. Coffee

  6. You'll find Graffeo just up the street from Washington Square Park in the heart of North Beach, San Francisco's famed Italian grotto. Graffeo isn't actually a cafe; it's a roaster. You can only buy their deliciously roasted beans or grounds. Totally worth it. http://lepanto.org/

  7. hahahaha. That just opened up my eyes. Would not like to be in his shoes right now. I have burned my tongue a couple of times, drinking hot coffee at event venues. Gotta grab that coffee though! Anyone know where to get great coffee?
