Month of Mead: Day One

With the series Judy is Dead winding to a close, I think it’s time for a special event.  Introducing the Month of Mead!  We will be going through Mister Mead’s Masterpiece, Judy is Dead, every 2-3 days for the rest of September.
Why?  Because this is, to my knowledge, one of the first major ongoing comics in this fandom to come to an end.  And while that saddens me about as much as the comic itself might, I always prefer to feature whole comics.  Even if they are divided into many chapters.
So, let’s go back to where it began- Day One.
Get the comic over on tumblr, or after the break.

  1. Mead just loves to rip my heart out of my chest and stomp on it with boots of overwhelming anguish and sorrow. Some of his comics seriously just kill me. Add to that his gorgeous, gritty art style and you have a recipe for hurting me so good. Mead, you bastahd (and I mean that in the best way)

  2. D'aw jeez, I continued where I left off last time to see the ending. Wow, what a sad yet almost positive / fitting resolution (well that is if it's the end).

    • I know, it's so heart wrenching, yet at the same time very bittersweet and almost happy in a way. You can almost hear the words "I've been waiting for you."

      AUGH MEAD!

  3. The artwork is second to none, and he tells a fantastic story. Looking forward to more of the author's work, even if they decide to close the book on this story.
