Nicholas Wilde has never looked more intimidating.

Today we have for you a fusion of fanfic and comic unlike any I have seen before.  Set in an AU where Zootopia is run by foxes and rabbits have their own separate government, the lawyer Judith Hopps takes on the role of Public Defender for a mammal accused of murder: Emmett Otterton.  Doing so puts her in great personal danger, and in this city where the government is out to get her, only one fox will offer his services to protect her.

I know I say this a lot, but the artwork here is amazing.  It captures the dark and gritty nature of the story perfectly.  And the story complements the art just as well.  All the details that are omitted in the comic are revealed in the written word, and together, these two pieces of fiction form a perfect whole.

The art is by the astonishingly good artist known as TheWyvernsWeaver, and the story is written by Kulkum.  Both of them are making their debut on ZNN today, and both deserve all the praise and respect that this story earns them.
